Visioneer is an award-winning construction group focused on the delivery of architecturally unique, highly specified single-residences, multi-residential developments and commercial structures.

Our experience is in the construction of bespoke and complex renovations, additions and new builds. We specialise in engaging with clients and consultants during the documentation phase of the project, streamlining structure, exploring sustainability considerations and delivering cost efficiencies, without compromising aesthetic intent.

We are passionate about delivering quality, an exceptional finish and positive client & consultant experience, all within critical time and cost parameters.

SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Michael Schuurmans

Director

Michael is a founding Director of Visioneer. His extensive building experience comes from more than thirty years working in both residential and commercial construction. His depth of knowledge and skills have been highly sought after within the construction industry as has his strong reputation for high quality and excellence in building.

As a Director at Visioneer, Michael liaises with Architects, clients and consultants throughout the design and construction process. He also oversees technical compliance on all sites, closely liaising with the project and site teams. Michael’s input and experience are a defining factor in the quality and distinction of completed projects at Visioneer.

James Gooley

Director

James is a registered Domestic Builder (Unlimited) whilst also holding a degree in Property and Construction from the University of Melbourne.

Being invited to build some of Melbourne’s most highly specified award-winning homes is the culmination of his unrelenting work ethic, professional integrity and innate intuition for design and detail over the past 20+ years. Having the opportunity to collaborate with some of Australia’s most esteemed architects, designers, and suppliers’ daily fuels his passion for the craft. Ensuring the best result for each client, James lends his meticulous attention to detail, logical thought process & excellent problem-solving skills to each project.

James has a reputation for forming strong & long-lasting relationships with everyone he encounters during the build. He earns a mutual respect by being upfront, communicating clearly, contributing at every opportunity as well as possessing an eternally positive attitude.

As the head of Business Development James will be one of the first in our team to gain intricate knowledge of your project. As such, he will remain a constant presence during the build to ensure your vision is realised.

Nick Spargo

Director

Following his Bachelor of Property and Construction at The University of Melbourne, Nick joined a national tier 1 construction company where he oversaw some of Melbourne’s largest commercial and retail projects.

Initially joining the Visioneer team as a project manager in 2016, Nick was appointed to Director in 2018 and holds the Commercial Building Registration licence for the business.

With a passion for property and business, Nick has transitioned from daily operations to lead investment and growth opportunities for the group. He continues in his role on the Senior Leadership Team to drive Visioneer’s growth and financial strategy.

Tim Callaghan

General Manager

After completing a Bachelor of Construction Management at RMIT University, Tim worked in the commercial sector with multi-national building and engineering companies where he successfully delivered projects in the high-rise multi-residential, health, retail, sporting, and infrastructure fields.

Tim then followed his passion for domestic residential construction by launching his own building business, completing a variety of new builds and award-winning renovations for some of Melbourne’s leading-edge architects.

In 2016 Tim joined the team at Visioneer, becoming General Manager in 2022. In this role, Tim is passionate about creating a dynamic, energetic, learning-based culture, where our high-performance team can continue to grow their careers and provide outstanding service to our clients.

Cameron Davidson

Chief Financial Officer

Cam is a CPA with over 20 years’ experience in the leadership and financial management of organisations.

Cam has experience in leading construction, property development, hospitality, sports management, and professional services organisations, always bringing a client-first focus to his role as CFO.

He enjoys developing strong relationships and collaborating with our team, clients, suppliers, and consultants to deliver the best outcomes for all stakeholders.

Cam utilises his varied experience and knowledge to challenge convention to ensure Visioneer continually improve as an organisation.

Since joining in 2019 he has developed structures and processes that enable our teams to focus on constructing Melbourne’s best homes.
